Read and Research

This has been one of the most powerful things I have done. To be my own advocate, I need to find quality research and hear from those who have experienced a similar journey to my own. It seems no two people experience Lyme and its co-infections the same, so I recognized that difference early on.

Of course, you should not believe everything you read, hear, or see. I was taught to triangulate information before relying on it. This means I will only hold it in high esteem and reputation once I find the same information in three distinctly separate locations of study and it’s even more valued if I experience it firsthand. This gate-keeping strategy has worked extremely well for me.

As I work on writing my Inspired by Lyme book, I will be sharing these findings with everyone. I hope they prove to be valued by you, too!
