Skin Solutions For Me – Petroleum Jelly

** This is part two of a post tied to the phases of the moon and parasites.

As I am working through my healing process, my skin has taken a lot of damage from Lyme, co-infections, and parasites!. I’ve dealt with Morgollens disease, eczema, and most recently, a cyclical assault of spirochetes tied to the moon phases. These are not acne issues, as they “behave” much differently. They truly are living organisms, which makes them react to treatments in an aggressive manner.

As I mentioned from the start of this endeavor, my mission is to help others by sharing what have been small victories and solutions for myself. They may not work for anyone else, but here goes with what I’ve tried and what has worked best!

NOTE: I will share some photos of my skin conditions, so be forewarned!

I had been having issues with what begins as red bumps along my neckline and collarbone, backside of my arms for quite some time. They then would flare, ooze, scab over, and leave dark brown scars for 6-10 months at a time. I had no idea what they were and did not notice a pattern tied to anything at that time. I was just disgusted by them.

About a year ago, I finally found a medical doctor trained as a Lyme specialist. I began to journal as he directed me to do! (Again, journaling has helped me make so much progress!)

As I journaled and began focused Lyme treatment, I noticed these white bumps would raise up the skin, but did they not act like acne. Any touch or irritation made them swell quite large (at least twice their size), but not erupt. The would also sometimes form curved lines along my jaw or neck line each month around the same phase of the moon.

Of course, I did cleanse them, which made things much worse. I tried different facial cleaners, scrubs, soaps, creams, coconut oil, even honey! Honey and cinnamon did seem to somewhat soothe them, but they still followed their cycle of flare, ooze, sloth, and repeat in a nearby location on my body each new moon phase.

About two months ago, I decided to try something different from our array of household goods: petroleum jelly! Believe it or not, it made a big difference; I mean a huge difference for me!

Petroleum jelly is helping me keep the parasitic flares on my face, neck, and arms from becoming uncontrollable! Do they still arrive with the phases of the moon? Yes! I am working with my doctor to rid myself of them, but as we progress with that treatment, I have found petroleum jelly causes them to flatten out, losing their redness, and reduce irritation. They seem to reinsert themselves back under the skin as the moon phase changes and their reproductive cycle end. I still retain a small mark from where they originated, coming back in almost the same place with the next phase of the moon, but they are smaller each month. I feel that my treatment has also lessened the number of them each month.
